Mad Science Birthday for up to 40 kids
- Gravity and Inertia
- Physical and Chemical reactions
- Flaming Dollar Bill
- Dissection or Geode exploration
Kids will first experience and learn about the two types of electricity (static and current) using energy sticks, 9V batteries, Plasma balls, and sparks. Next, kids will explore concepts of gravity and inertia using Newton's beads and Newton's cradle. We then use snow, steel wool, and a flaming dollar bill to learn the difference between physical and chemical changes. Following, all will make slime to apply their knowledge. Finally, we will complete a dissection. Dissection choices include cow's eyes, grasshoppers, earthworms, owl pellets, or fish. If you do not want a dissection, each kid will smash open a geode and look at the crystals under a digital microscope.
