Ms. CallieSTEM Educator & Curriculum DeveloperCallie is a lifelong learner of science and eager newcomer to teaching STEAM. She has experience in developing experiential STEAM curriculum from teaching and working for nonprofits in education. She loves coming up with creative ways to challenge, excite, and inspire students to pursue their deepest dreams and change what they dislike about their world. Her favorite activities involve getting out into nature and in her free time loves to travel, garden, and practice mindfulness.

Ms. JuliaSTEM Educator & SpecialistJulia has currently been teaching grades Pre- K through 2nd grade as a second career. She looks forward to being a new member of the STEAM team! Her experience with different age groups has her looking forward to teaching STEM. She is an avid reader (when there is time) and loves to cook and travel.

Ms. SydneySTEM Educator & SpecialistSydney is a rising high school senior and volunteer for Ask Wonder Explore. She fell in love with science from an early age, wanting to know not only how the mechanisms of the world work but also why. She is currently enrolled in programs at her school that allow her to conduct independent scientific research, namely a study about the impact of microorganisms on bean plant nutritional quality. She is looking to further her STEM education in college, with a major in either engineering or biology. Sydney also loves reading, amateur interior design, and romcoms.
Ms. EliseSTEM Educator & Specialist Hello, My name is Elise Miller and I have been working and creating with children of all ages most of my adult life. I am a mother of a five year old girl, and a teacher at Lycee Francais. I love to be in nature, make art and music, garden, discover and explore in all things Science and mystery, and most of all have FUN and laugh! It is my life passion to make a positive and memorable impact with the children I have the privilege to teach and create with. I strive to be present and breathe in the moment with everyday, to smile and connect with openness, acceptance, and compassion wherever any child is coming from. I look forward to creating amazing memories at AWE summer camp!!!

Meet Our Board
Dr. Raphyel RosbyVice President and STEM EducatorDr. Raphyel Rosby is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Southern University A&M College, Baton Rouge. He has 16 years teaching in research and teaching undergraduates. His research interests include ribosome biogenesis defect pathways and the role of the COVID-19 virus in foam cell formation, and how the virus affects the veins and arteries. He has several peer-reviewed articles that encompass his research interests. He currently has a molecular biology research lab where he trains both undergraduate and graduate students.

Angela WallaceTreasurerAngela is a native of St. Bernard Parish. She has been a math educator for 17 years. She has two masters degrees, one in Art & Teaching and other in International Affairs & Development. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at Xavier University in New Orleans. She has taught math in all grades five through eight. Angela is an avid reader, and aspires to be a professor of math education. She is married with three children.

Natori GreenSecretaryNatori Green is a New Orleans native. She holds an associate degree in Visual Communications from Delgado Community College. She participates in the New Orleans art scene as a mixed media visual artist and fashion designer. The Language Immersion Advocacy Association was founded by Natori to support families enrolled in language immersion schools and to build community. She is passionate about community advocacy work, volunteer management and event planning as a Community Relations Manager for the Broadmoor Improvement Association. Coming soon.
