  2. Supervise and Guide: Provide support during park trips, yoga, and other active moments, ensuring safety and fun for all campers.
  3. Encourage Participation: Motivate campers to try new activities and explore their curiosity in a positive and patient manner.
Program Assistance
  1. Prepare Materials: Set up equipment, supplies, and materials for daily activities, such as building kits, lab stations, or art supplies.
  2. Help with Clean-Up: Ensure workspaces are tidy and organized after activities, teaching campers responsibility.
  3. Document Activities: Take photos or notes for camp newsletters, social media updates, or project showcases.
Leadership Development
  1. Lead Mini-Sessions: Plan and lead short, age-appropriate activities under staff supervision, like a simple coding demo or art project.
  2. Mentor Campers: Serve as a role model by demonstrating teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Administrative Tasks
  1. Check-In Assistance: Help with camper arrival and departure by checking names and assisting with their belongings.
  2. Track Supplies: Monitor inventory levels for specific projects and report to staff when restocking is needed.
Special Projects
  1. Create Learning Aids: Design posters, charts, or visual aids to support STEM lessons and themes.
  2. Showcase Coordination: Assist in organizing end-of-camp presentations or exhibitions to showcase campers' projects to families.
Learning Opportunities for Interns
  • Attend staff training sessions to build teaching and facilitation skills.
  • Participate in age-appropriate STEM activities to deepen their understanding of the concepts.
  • Develop leadership and time management skills through hands-on experience.
This structure allows interns to gain valuable experience while fostering a supportive and enriching environment for younger campers.
